TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
LOCATION: Washington, D.C.SUPERVISOR: Director, New Business Development
SUMMARY: The Business Development Officer (BDO) will support IMC’s positioning for and pursuit of donor opportunities, with an emphasis on competitive funding mechanisms. S/he will work with HQ-based staff and field teams to guide prepositioning and capture planning processes for strategic country-specific, regional and global opportunities. S/he will provide technical and budget expertise and leadership to proposal development teams to ensure the highest quality standards, responsiveness and competitiveness. S/he will be an outstanding proposal writer and editor with experience working under pressure to synthesize complex technical information and create a concise, persuasive narrative that responds to the donor’s needs. S/he will contribute to and support internal learning processes. S/he will also spend a significant amount of time in the field, working directly with Country Directors to both prepare for, and respond to, donor solicitations.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and AbuseActively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
