Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
The position reports to the Senior Director of HR and is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR function at Corporate HQ level.
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the International Medical Corps human resource function and performance at Corporate HQ level.
Together with other HR Leadership drives the implementation of HR strategies including talent acquisition, staffing, compensation and benefits, records management, training and development, employee relations, retention, diversity and compliance
Co-ordinate development of global progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Maintains knowledge of US and international HR policies, programs, and issues and supports the coordination of such programs.
Manages the budget and other financial measures of the Corporate HR department by estimating, forecasting and anticipating trends and variances, developing action plans, measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.
Supports management by providing human resource advice, counsel and decisions.
Continually assesses the competitiveness of all HR programs and practices against the relevant comparable organizations.
Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resource discipline.
Complete workforce analysis for any RIF process and work with legal to assess risk.
Facilitate and follow up on the development of implementation of action plans designed to address issues surfaced through employee surveys—either locally driven or corporate driven.
Utilize Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to help assure opportunities to improve the employee relations environment.

10+ year’s relevant experience
Experience in working in diverse cultural teams
Leadership & people management experience
Field experience in humanitarian emergencies desirable
Global and cultural awareness

Ability to travel internationally 25%
