Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:

Job Purpose

We are looking for Software Development Manager. This role will plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the design, development, implementation and integration of Software applications. The position is also responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading existing systems and applications. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide direction for the application development and integration in support of business operations
  • Identify and resolve system errors
  • Provide technical guidance and escalation resolution to Developers working on cross-functional development projects
  • Design, Develop and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software
  • Coordinate and delegate operational and development activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team for development, integration and data management
  • Coach, mentor and train developers on best practices, standards, transfer of knowledge on systems and backend related processes/procedures
  • Responsible for sign-off and approval of development at all levels and phases of the software development lifecycle from concept to Production

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development and implementation of software solutions
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools
  • Strong Knowledge of system and software best practices and methodologies
  • Extensive experience with core software programming applications.
  • Expert knowledge in Design Patterns and UML
  • Knowledge of database design and file management techniques
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Proven Project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products
  • Highly motivated and directed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer-service orientation
