Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. 

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing support and guidance to senior leadership, employees and country programs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing programs and where necessary design and deliver cost effective, integrated solutions at Corporate and Field level specifically in the areas of:
    • Total rewards planning and administration
    • Recruitment and Sourcing
    • Employee data management
  • Act as a credible advocate for the International Medical Corps HR team ensuring that they are respected and trusted by the global organization.
  • Coach and develop the capacity of the HR team throughout the organization.
  • Provide effective guidance to staff, colleagues and business partners on employee relations, compensation/benefits, employee lifecycle and general HR challenges
  • Have a data driven mindset to assess and deliver organizational processes to support the organization mission
  • Help foster an ongoing culture of innovation and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Provide strong collaboration skills within and outside of HR

As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelors degree in HR or related field. Must have solid computer skills and experience working with HR software.
• 8-10 years HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3+ years working with an international organization
?• Success implementing operational programs and processes
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
