JOB SUMMARY:

International Medical Corps is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer/Trainer to design, develop and implement various course offerings to HQ and overseas learners. This person will collaborate with experts from around the organization to design and deliver Instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and e-learning programs. In addition, this role will manage the HQ onboarding and orientation program for new hires.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to analyze training needs and select appropriate solutions
  • Manage learning projects, planning and executing instructional design projects from analysis through evaluation
  • Report on effectiveness of learning programs by providing multi levels of evaluation
  • Manage multiple training offerings to include the marketing and communications of upcoming events
  • Facilitate instructor-led training
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions 
  • Design e-learning using Articulate Storyline/360 software
  • Manage onboarding/orientation process for HQ by collaborating with HR staff in the LA and DC office
  • Work with the Learning Management System (LMS), managing content, creating events, and creating usage reports.
  • Manage vendor/partner relationships Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, human resources or related field (additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience applying instructional design methodologies in various training environments (i.e.: classroom, virtual, e-learning) 
  • Demonstrated experience using Articulate Storyline; other e-learning development tools a plus
  • Experience facilitating instructor-led training and group sessions, such as focus groups
  • Superior communication skills 
  • Experience working directly with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to analyze needs and suggest learning or performance solutions
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and/or interest in working with a global audience 
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Occasional international travel required
