Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. 


Responsible for developing and implementation of new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to International Medical Corps goals and competitive practices.
Responsible for ensuring through audits, legal reports and personal interactions that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.


Design of creative solutions to compensation-related programs.
Administration of salary, benefit and supplementary compensation programs (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions related to salaried employees.
Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and International Medical Corps objectives.
Provides advice to employees on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation
Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
Supervises the participation in, conducts and/or purchases salary surveys to ensure International Medical Corps compensation objectives are achieved.
Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.

Compliance & Ethics:  Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. 

• A Bachelors degree in HR or related field. Must have solid computer skills and experience working with HR software.
• 8-10 years HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
