This role is a team member of the Procurement Improvement Project (PIP) which is a phase 1 project in IMC’s Supply Chain Excellence transformation program and will be recruited under IMC’s Global Logistics & Supply Chain department’s Young Talent Entry (YTE) program.The aim of this post is to provide innovative analytical support services to the Procurement Improvement Project (PIP) Team, by coordinating supply chain data management, facilitating data compilation, research, and indicator analysis, covering the IMC mission’s activities related to operations, humanitarian supply chain and logistics. This role contributes to data quality improvement and plays a key role in monitoring outcomes of the PIP operational initiatives. The role holder will also be exposed to leading edge humanitarian procurement practice through item catalogue development, market surveys, sourcing strategies, SLA setup and high value contracting. The role holder will be needed to deploy as required to various IMC country programs (expected 80% time deployed, 1 country every 3.5 months) in Africa or the Middle East & Eurasia. It is expected that the role holder’s capacity will be significantly built over the duration of this 18 month project to be prepared to take on a country level procurement or supply chain management role.
Working in close coordination & under the direct supervision of the PIP Team leader the Procurement Analyst (PA) will be expected to work on & gain experience in the following areas:
