Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs.

Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, this role will be accountable for :
  • Direct reporting line to Director, HR UK and Talent Acquisition
  • Dotted reporting line to Director ERU for ERU issues
  • Dotted reporting line to PI CDC on CDC deliverables


    • A well-established comprehensive roster with at least 100 qualified pool of staff and volunteers per year who International Recruiter can deploy in emergencies. The roster will include external and internal pool of staff and volunteers readily available to be deployed by International Recruiters within 48 hours of an emergency declaration.
    • Engaging and successful working relationship with counterparts that result in positive working relations and improved Roster management. This process will begin at the inaugural consortium workshop in 2018 and continue through the first half of the program year.
    • Roster management will include supporting the roll out of International Medical Corps new emergency response Roster software (currently in process), reviewing job descriptions, verifying listed personnel are available to participate in an emergency response.
    • Emergency Response HR database/software has updated profile of staff and volunteers in real time.
    • Emergency Response HR database/software maintains up to date logs of trainings and completed and core competencies met by staff and volunteers in various disciplines
    • Expanded number and diversity of reliable partnership agreements offering external volunteers that International Recruiters can rely on during any emergency response.
    • Have clear understanding of staffing needs, requirements and priorities during emergency response and source staff and volunteers that Recruiter can rely on to meet IMC needs during emergencies.
    • Manage communications between Partners and International Recruiters. Specifically, ensuring that Recruiters understand MOU obligations between International Medical Corps and Partners related to volunteers in partnership agreement
    • Co-ordinate agreed events and conferences to promote International Medical Corps and deepen the pool of potential candidates Flexibility to support and backstop International Recruiters as required

      QUALIFICATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

      1. Relevant qualification and or significant experience HR
      2. Experience with HRIS systems including proficiency in Microsoft office
      3. Relevant International recruitment experience in humanitarian sector
      4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to conflicting deadlines
      5. Positive attitude, flexible and adaptable to the needs of team and organisations
      6. Ability to work under minimum supervision
