Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

International Medical Corps and International Medical Corps United Kingdom with headquarters in the United States and the United Kingdom respectively, work collaborate to maximize resources for the delivery of appropriate relief and development activities.

  1. To support the Marketing (Digital) Manager in planning, creation and delivery of digital marketing and communication content for engaging potential and existing International Medical Corps UK supporters.
  2. To support fundraising, communication and marketing activities when required.

-To write and publish action-focused content for social media, email marketing, web and other online channels.
-To design graphics and other assets for use online and offline.
-To support the planning of online communication, marketing or fundraising campaigns          
-Manage social media ads though platforms such as Facebook Ads & Google AdWords to reach out to potential new supporters. To monitor key online supporter engagement metrics and use that insight to improve the online experience International Medical Corps UK provides to our supporters.
-To contribute to ad-hoc supporter-focused communication, marketing or fundraising projects.
-Contribute to the production of communication collateral e.g. the Annual Review and Newsletter, including writing copy and supporter stories.
-Ensure that marketing and fundraising databases are kept up to date.
-Support internal communications initiatives including assisting Human Resources communication and building interdepartmental communication.

    • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or higher

    • Significant experience in planning and developing materials for websites and social media

    • Experience contributing to organisational social media accounts

    • Ability to work with websites using CMS (ideally Drupal)

    • Ability to provide or recommend solutions to problems; show flexibility to assume additional responsibilities

    • Ability to work and contribute positively in a team

    • Project management experience and skills, including the ability to set priorities, work to tight and competing deadlines 

    • Experience and skills in design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign etc.) 

    • Experience of using email marketing tools

    • Experience using Google AdWords or Facebook advertising

    • Experience of using digital technologies in innovative ways
