By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.Job SummaryThis position plays a major role in donor compliance oversight and assurance with governmental donors, including USAID, Department of State, CDC, DFID, DFAT etc., EU and United Nations agency donors. The incumbent provides advice and interpretation of grants and contracts regulations pertaining to International Medical Corps program implementation and risk management. The Director will work in close consultation with the Finance & Administration and Program departments to ensure that the organization’s contract and grant proposals and portfolio comply with USG regulations in all phases of the program management cycle. The Director will lead the Contracts and Grants Management Unit in supporting project teams throughout International Medical Corps’ programming areas by ensuring sound contracts and grants management, timely reporting, and oversight of sub-awards, as well as reviewing and drafting agreements and contracts. Responsible for the establishment and oversight of policies and procedures supporting International Medical Corps’ administration and management of contracts, grants and sub-awards, specifically for government and multilateral donors. Assist program and technical staff in their understanding of the terms and conditions of contracts and grants by providing donor compliance expertise and advice to senior managers to ensure that programs are delivered with minimized compliance risk. The Director will oversee the administration of the contracts and grants database and ensure the integrity of the data that provides budget and grant award information to the organization’s management staff at Headquarters and country office locations.
